Rocking the Farm
Don asked me to drive with him to pay the rock-man for rocks we are going to eventually use on the farm. The plan is to use them for various water features on the farm. I’m so excited about this. It won’t happen overnight, but to have the beginnings of the collection of rocks booked already is a big step forward. The rocks are local to Tennessee.
What started as a desire to log a precious point in the building of the farm, with the acquiring of rocks for water features and placement in various locations on the terrain, became a hunger to delve into reading about rocks in scripture, and consider this hard, earthen object that God used in different ways, but also calls Himself.
Since we haven’t yet had the rocks delivered, and the process of receiving them is paused for now, it seems fitting to use this time to journey in this subject matter in this way after all. God knows, so very well, how to lead us!
I hope you are ready for this journey with me. Here we go.
