Hottest Week of The Year Hay Haul
The hay was cut, baled and ready for pick-up. It happened to be the start of the hottest week we have experienced this summer. The field-owner decided the hay needed to be collected that week regardless of the weather. There is seemingly useful reason for this: the grass needs to grow for the next cutting. And if the hay sits on the field, those patches don’t grow the same height as the rest of the field. It takes longer than a few days for that to cause damage. But we were dealing with a particular field-owner who has very particular ways about various things. I wish I could go into further examples, because it would show you a few things about what one has to deal with when doing farm-transactions. Perhaps two examples might do?
